Nature's adventures: Friday, Feb. 24, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Join Ranger Lynn for an awesome experience that will get you outside and excited about nature. Ages 2-8. Upper Newport Bay, 2301 University Drive, Newport Beach. $5 per child, free parking. Register by phone, 949-923-2275.
Wildlife Watch: Sunday, Feb. 26, 12:30-3:30 p.m. Investigate the dynamics of our wildlife, with focus on endangered and threatened species. Small survey teams will be formed to scan regions throughout the park. This program is designed for ages 15 up, but younger nature enthusiasts are welcome with adult supervision. Come prepared for long walks; wear comfortable shoes and bring water and sunblock. Upper Newport Bay, 2301 University Drive, Newport Beach. $5 per student, free parking.
