Good morning Sunshine!

...and welcome to my first attempt at blogging.  What better day to write my first blog post than a Monday morning, bright overcast and early. (so much for the California sunshine)  Now that my #1 baby has started Kindergarten, I feel the need to "do something" with those 3 hours she's away.  I never thought I would set up my own blog - but here I am!

I'm a stay at home mama of 2 kidlets, and married to my college sweetheart. We live in Orange County, California, located on the Left Coast - hence the name of my blog.  Now, you may be playing episodes of the "Real Housewives of Orange County" in your mind.... no, we're not ALL like that.  Yes, the cost of living is higher here, but there are ways to have fun and live a healthy lifestyle on a beer budget - and you don't even have to drink beer!

This brings me to the reason for starting my blog.  I think I do a pretty good job at living healthy, semi-green, saving money, and finding kid-friendly (and FUN) things to do... so why not share it with the world?  Recipes, DiY projects, affordable activities, couponing deals, vacations, and just some chit-chatting... I'll even throw in some pictures while I'm at it!
